BIG BIG thank-you to Ms. Jeanine Nalepa and Casa Verde high school for inviting Spark a Smile to their campus!
During their lunch hour, the Casa Verde students made 90 Valentine’s cards. Their enthusiasm is definitely contagious! Ms. Nalepa did an incredible job of organizing everything. Here are a few close-ups; click here for the rest!
Aren’t they great!??!
And, BIG BIG announcement: Spark a Smile parties will officially be on the second Thursday of every month, from 5-7 PM (at least from now until July).
THIS THURSDAY is the next one! We’ll be making our own Valentines, of course…
A few hours.
Here are some close-ups of these beauties:
Where’d they come from? These amazing cards were created by teenagers from the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Center. What a simple way for these kids to give back to the community, in a fun, safe environment. I LOVE this Spark a Smile potential!
What did the kids think of the project? They “really enjoyed the process and in the end were happy with the end results.”
What do you think? Do you have any ideas on where else we can bring Spark a Smile crafting?
